What is the appropriate method for syncing an entire card across two boards?

What I want to do is setup a Trello board that includes a To-Do list for all of my Teams projects. And then on that main board, I will include Lists for all of my Teammates. Each teammate will have their own board, and I have a rule set up so that when I drop a card from the to-do list into their list, it copies the card into their Inbox List on their own board.

I basically want to keep track of these cards on the main board, so that I don't have to individually go into each board to check on the status of projects.

Hi @Bruce Midlock Trello doesn't offer that specific functionality natively, so in order to achieve that exact workflow, you would need to use a power-up like Unito's board sync. This would come at an additional cost, but they do offer a free trial if you're interested in testing it out. If you're open to using a paid solution, I'd be happy to provide some more info.

If this isn't an option, there are other free alternatives that come to mind:

1. If you're on the premium plan, you do have access to "Workspace Views" which will give you a consolidated view of cards across multiple boards. However, this doesn't answer the question of having a single place to create and assign cards.

2. Another idea that would work regardless of what plan you're on, is to create a sort of "Master Dashboard" board. In this board, you can use the "Dashcards" power-up which is a free Trello-owned power-up. It can pull cards from different boards to give you a list of cards. On top of that, you can use this board to create and assign cards automatically using butler.

Here's an example of what the board could look like:

The coloured cards are the dashcards. You can create custom ones that pull the information you need. Overdue cards is just an example, but you could have ones that show cards in a specific list, that have a specific label/custom field/ etc. Clicking into the card will give you quick view of the cards, and from there, you can explore further to see a more detailed report which allows you to see all fields, sort, pivot, etc. On top of that, you might want a master card that shows cards from all boards which could then be filtered down to show the cards you need to see.

The idea of the "New" list is to have a place to create and flesh out new cards. Once it's ready to be assigned, simply drag it to the respective list. Butler can then automatically move it to the right board.

So, a few options there to consider....if there's anything that sounds viable to you, I'd be happy to expand further! We can chat here or do a screen share :)
