NYC ACE Event - Kick into Spring with Exclusive Confluence Insights (April 17) - Recap

When do you start planting your garden in the Spring?

If your garden is Confluence, you start whenever you want and never stop.

The New York City Atlassian Community hosted a jam packed event last Wednesday night with the theme Kick into Spring with Exclusive Confluence Insights.

The night started with @Dileep Bhat  setting up some 'power'ful swag and manning the check-in table to welcome the guests to the Atlassian NYC HQ for the ACE event. @Kapil Samadhiya's MC skills were on display, and as you can see in the picture, the only thing better than one Kapil is two!

But the highlights of the night were the speakers and their content.

Melanie Zhao brought us all through the latest integrations between Atlassian Jira and #Confluence limiting context switching, duplicate work and increasing access. No reason to leave one patch of your garden to tend to another!

@Laura Mehrkens took us deeper into the possibilities of cultivation and cross-pollination with a demo on Widgets embedded in Confluence pages. No better way to have the 🌹🌷🌻 popping in the patch than seeing how Smart Links and Reports can flow between Confluence and Jira.

@Ned Lindau  then took us through some improvements in the Confluence navigation experience and gave us all a bit of look into the quality of the soil beneath the Confluence garden - and trust me, this year's crop will be A+!

@Matt Reiner _K15t_ brought the rain showers to fuel the growth and highlighted how we can use Confluence today to build amazing pages and content. He presented 10 tips on how to enable teams to share their knowledge better - because 'with great tools comes great responsibility'.
Just a sampler of these - Whiteboards, Automation, AI, Inline Comments, Smart Links, Presenter Mode, Public Access, and Databases ability to kill the mega-table.

The night ended with everyone enjoying some more pizza and beer and getting face time with the Confluence Product Team members for comments and feedback. Thank you to Atlassian and K15t for sponsoring the event!

If you joined, let me know your highlights in the comments!

If you missed this opportunity, mark your calendar for May 15 when the next NYC ACE event will review all of the key announcements and highlights from #AtlassianTeam24.
