Not able to Import the Issue Link type and Issue Link Key

Ambika Thangasamy May 9, 2024

While Importing Test cases along with the Issue link type and Issue Link Key, facing the following error message "

Issue link type: Requirement and Issue key to link: PP-23 does not exist or you do not have permission to see it

I even tried giving Issue Link Type as Relates To option but facing same error. Could someone help me to sort this issue out?

Hi Ambika,

Not sure if this is in the right direction to help you, or if you've already tried the following

  • Case Sensitivity: Jira issue keys are case-sensitive. Verify that the case of "PP-23" in your file matches the actual issue key.
  • Link Issues Permission: Ensure the user account performing the import has the "Link Issues" permission at the project level.
  • Target Issue Visibility: Make sure the importing user has the "Browse Projects" permission for the project containing the issue "PP-23". Even if the issue exists, insufficient permissions will block creating the link.

Hi Dimitris,

Thanks for the reply.

I have given the correct Issue Key and I do have an Link Issues and Browse Projects permission. I can able to link the Issues with the test case Manually but via Importing I am facing this Issue.
