New year, new releases ✅ Import from Monday, template bundles, and more

Hi everyone!

Welcome to another exciting year in the JWM Community. We’re starting off strong with some great updates from the team. Let us know what you’re looking forward to most in the comments!

Monday importer

Tracking projects in multiple places that don’t connect to each other? Bring every team to Jira and take advantage of the connected platform — there’s a project type for everyone. Our newest importer guides you through the process of moving tasks from Monday and helps you hit the ground running.

Template bundles

Sometimes, you need multiple projects to manage an initiative. Whether it’s building software, launching a go-to-market plan, running operations, or something totally your own, set up Jira for cross-functional collaboration with a template bundle. You’ll get started with up to 6 project templates that are made for every team to work differently, together. No more losing track of progress by switching between tools and ways of working.

Create new fields from list view

List view just got more powerful. Now, you can add new custom fields without leaving your work. Click the ➕ icon to create a new field, add all the details, and see it appear as a new column in your list right away. You can always edit the field too. That helpful piece of information your team is looking for is now a click away.

That’s it for this month! What do you think? 👀

What is the best way to leverage a Jira WM project template to account for several phases within a project where we need to co-locate tasks within each phase? At one point I had seen some discussion around support for epics in JWM, but have not found it to create a usable experience with the list, timeline and Kanban views.
