Unable to use new JSM Operations Features

Summary

As Opsgenie is being consolidated into Jira Service Management there are some steps you need to take to ensure a complete migration to JSM Operations from Opsgenie. If this is not completed beforehand somethings may not work as expected, such as being unable to see core features of JSM Operations. But what exactly causes this issue?

Environment

Cloud instances who have the progressive rollout of Opsgenie to Jira Service Management in their site.

Issue

No Operations section displays on the Opsgenie/Atlassian Team when trying to view your new "Teams" in Jira. This does not allow you to move forward with configuring Opsgenie in Jira and get the new consolidated version up and running for your site.

Solution

You need to complete the full migration from Opsgenie to Jira Service Management. This will allow for the Operations section to display as expected in your Jira site. Full details on the migration process can be found in the links below:

This is an exciting update @Christian Beaulieu .   Does this documentation also cover JSM Premium sites that are "integrated" already?  Also, is there a way to determine if "Progressive rollout" is enabled? (sorry if that is an obvious question). Thx

Hey @Ken Young ! Yes this does cover Premium sites, in fact it covers all JSM sites that have this roll out available to them. You can determine if you have the Progressive Rollout is enabled by a banner at the top of your Jira site. It will mention setting up on-call/alerts in JSM and how to get started with that transition/migration from Opsgenie into the new feature now called Jira Service Management Operations. You will also see a shift operations page in your Settings > Products > Operations section. It will look like this: Screenshot 2024-04-10 at 1.03.06 PM.png

Thanks @Christian Beaulieu I thought this was part of the Release tracks.  What you are showing makes sense now.  I don't the capability has been rolled to our site yet (only see "Chat and Video tool" so will have to be patient.   Thanks for the clarification.

Hey @Ken Young if you have Premium and have a Sandbox, the feature is fully rolled out there already for testing too, just FYI :)

@Christian Beaulieu we have a Premium with a Sandbox, but this feature is not enabled in neither site.

What is the rollout window?

@Salvatore Insalaco please submit a support request at https://support.atlassian.com and we can take a look into that :)

The rollout window is progressive but you should have this ability in Sandbox now. So we need to take a look into this for you. Thanks!
