Team field

Hi, I am wanting to add the Team field, but I am not able to in the admin. Is this possible right now?

I think the question being asked is if the Atlassian "Team" field can be utilized within JPD projects.

Currently, the "Team" field (which is of the type "Team Picker") is not supported in JPD Global fields.

Based on this documentation, the only supported Global fields types are:

• label
• text
• URL
• select
• multiselect
• number

Thanks Gary, that is correct. I will need to find a work around for the time being then. Any suggestions are of course welcome.

Unfortunately there isn't any workaround that I'm aware of. You can utilize a "team" field created within the JPD project, but you won't be able to associate users to the "team". It's really just a glorified label to help organize ideas.

I guess you could create an automation rule to send an email to specific users when a specific "team" is applied to an idea. It's not 100%, but it can address notifications about the associated idea.

No, this option isn't available - this help page details what can be assigned to a permission:

You can grant permissions to:

• Individual users, which your site admin can invite to your Jira products. Learn more inviting users.

• Groups, which your site admin sets up. Learn more about groups.

• Project roles, which Jira administrators can set up in advance. Learn more about project roles.

• Issue roles such as Reporter, Project Lead, and Current Assignee.

• Public, which can make issues public to the internet. Learn more about anonymous access.

• A (multi-)user picker custom field.

• A (multi-)group picker custom field. This can either be an actual group picker custom field, or a (multi-)select-list whose values are group names.

Hopefully one of these is possible to use for your use case!
