I am trying to upgrade a Bamboo server to Bamboo DataCenter.

I made a VM clone of the Bamboo Server (8.2) and am working on the clone.

I need to get the server ID from the clone so I can request a trial DC license, but the bamboo server on the clone will not start.   Is there a way to get the server ID from bamboo without a running server?

Hi Stuart,

Welcome to Atlassian community.

You can get the server ID from the <bamboo-home>/bamboo.cfg.xml file against the <property name="serverId"> parameter.

Manually in the filesystem

  1. Go to <bamboo-home-directory> and open the bamboo.cfg.xml file.
  2. The Server ID can be found at the <property name="serverId"> line:
