30 days til Server end of support: What you need to do before Feb. 15

Server end of support is less than 30 days away. If you haven't started migrating, now's the time. Jumpstart your journey by checking out our latest blog for the latest guidance, resources, and offers to help you take the next step.

If you’re ready to move to Cloud, here’s a quick cheat sheet to help you get started. Depending on the number of users, customizations, and apps you're migrating, choose one of the two paths below:

 

SIMPLE CLOUD MIGRATION ➡️ MIGRATE TO CLOUD BEFORE FEB. 15 

(<1,000 users, 1-6 apps, and <100 custom fields)

COMPLEX CLOUD MIGRATION ➡️ MIGRATE TO CLOUD WITH A DUAL LICENSE 

(>1,000 users, 6+ apps, and 100+ custom fields)

✅ Reach out to our team to take advantage of dual licensing. To give you time to migrate larger, more complex instances, Atlassian & participating Marketplace Partners are offering up to one year of server support if you purchase an annual cloud subscription before February 15, 2024. To be eligible, the annual cloud subscription must be for 1,001 or more users (Jira Software, Jira Work Management, or Confluence) or 251 or more agents (Jira Service Management).

Hi,

Migrating from on-prem JIRA to cloud. We have GIT Integratin for JIRA and are using a local GIT repo; if we sign up from BitBucket - also a Atlassian cloud product, do we still need to buy Git Interation for JIRA or do we not need it? And therefore any migration steps in the latter case.

Is the server software license perpetual license, that is can we use it without any support and it will be fine from legal and compliance perspective?

Hi @Zaheer Baloch while your Server software license is perpetual, using it without support can expose you to various security threats including:

  • Exposing your systems and data to exploitation from malicious actors
  • Compromising system stability with unsupported Marketplace apps
  • Failing to meet crucial privacy and compliance standards

For these reasons, we strongly recommend moving to a supported platform (Cloud or Data Center) to ensure ongoing security and compliance. Please let us know if you have any other questions or need help exploring your options!
