@Janet - just rename the file from .zip to .jar which will do the trick. Try it out.

Hi I have the same issue and I follow these steps here :

https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=343834801&focusedCommentId=757729017&#comment-757729017

I got this error. I have already compress and rename extension to jar. I got this error :

Could not find a handler capable of installing the add-on at jira-issue-collector-plugin-1.4.25.jar. Check that the file is a valid add-on.

Any Idea why I follow the steps and it doesnt work?

Also, making zero changes, just rename to zip, uncompress, then compress it back, rename back to zip.

I get the same error :

Could not find a handler capable of installing the add-on at jira-issue-collector-plugin-1.4.25.jar. Check that the file is a valid add-on.

I can only upload using the original jar file.

It's seems that version 1.0.7 is actually .zip file. thus, it need to be extract first before you can use the plugin's jar file.

Hi Dimitrij,

Have you tried to download it, in order to install directlly this plugin?

If you haven't done yet, you could give a try as the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Administration » Plugins » Plugins;
  2. Click on Upload Plugin in the Install Plugins tab;
  3. Enter the following URL: link, and;
  4. Click on Upload.

On the other hand you could check out Installing a plugin manually page.

I hope it helps.

Cheers
