Strike through on resolved issue

By default, when issue get resolved it gets strike through over that.

I want strike through availvale on close issue only.

Suppose I have a main task containing 4-5 subtasks ,untill it get closed it should not show strike on the issue.So that I can easily see the status of my main task.

I have read that it can be done only doing code updations.

I am new to jira administration.Can you please elborate steps to have strike through on close issue only and not on resolved one?

Change your workflow so that you only set the resolution field when the issue moves into the status of "closed".

You might want to remove the entire "resolved" status from the workflow as well when you do that, it's pretty much unneccessary if you are binning the use of the field.
