Oops - an error has occurred

Confluence is not working anymore. I have tried to restart the service and also the server. Always the same page is coming up with the following message:

System Error

A system error has occurred — our apologies!

For immediate troubleshooting, consult our knowledge base for a solution.

If you would like to receive support from Atlassian's support team, ask your Confluence administrator to create a support issue on Atlassian's support system with the following information:

a description of your problem and what you were doing at the time it occurred

Hi Lukas,

From the look of the error message you are receiving and the description of the problem I suspect that you need to clear your plugin caches by following the instructions outlined below:

1. Shutdown Confluence
2. Delete the following directories
<confluence-home>/bundled-plugins folder
<confluence-home>/plugin-cache folder
<confluence-home>/plugins-osgi-cache folder
<confluence-home>/plugins-temp folder
3. Restart Confluence

So, please perform the requested steps and if this doesn't resolve your issue then please open a ticket with Support so that we can investigate this issue further for you.
