I guess it all depends on what kind of documentation. JIRA can already Export Issues as XML, Word, or printable form.
If you use JIRA Service Desk and Confluence, you can link Confluence to JIRA and then you will be able to save Issues to Confluence Page directly.
thank you for the information. i was looking for an add on to create formalized documentation of business rules to help my external PMO vendor. as for now, it sounds like custom fields and export will work.
