Hi all,

Is there anyway to set dashboard on behalf of some users?

Thanks in advance.

Actually, Yes. The JSU plugin allows you as admin to adopt the persona of a given user, to configure their dashboard as you would like. Where new users are concerned, generally they wont know any different, and if a specific dash setup is defined that contains 'basic' targetted info, just selecting that dash is fine, and is what I do quite often.

Ok, I should have said "no, not without plugins"

My advice about not messing around with things users have set up for themselves still stands - it's a bad idea.

No.

Set the default dashboard to something everyone might like, and then the users who don't like it can create their own. I'd suggest making other dashboards though, ones that work for specific users and then suggesting that they use them

There's also a few scripts for making those dashboards automatically "favourites" for users - I'd recommend only doing that for NEW users, as existing users who deselect dashboards are doing it for a good reason, and really don't like having other people's views forced on them.
