How do I install update to Bonfire in Chrome?

I have an old version of the Bonfire plugin installed, so I can't proceed without upgrading: http://d.pr/i/Q9b8

But Google Chrome tells me that I can't upgrade the plugin directly from a file - I need to go through the Chrome Web Store: http://d.pr/i/QxMe

How do I do it?
