Agile: Planning board is slow in certain project

Hi,

We encountered that one of the project in Jira; Agile is very slow especially when we open the planning board. its normal when we open taskboard of the same project.I've increase the cache size to higher and the current used % is 0% compared to before increased is 76%. So eventhough it has been increased and used cache is we still encountered the slowness.

We using JIra v5.0.6 and greenhopper v5.10.4.1 Tried to reproduced in all the Browsers and also checked in https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/GH041/GreenHopper+FAQ#GreenHopperFAQ-HowcanIimprovetheperformanceofGreenHopper? but the slowness is still there. It took about 15-17sec to open the page.

Could you advice what has caused to this problem? THanks

Hi, We actually found the problem. its because of the memory of the server is very high and we have to reboot the server to solve the problem. We are using Linux :)

Increasing memory willy-nilly can have adverse effects in some cases. Do not do this without ensuring it isn't harming your performance.

It seems that we are encountering the same problem, with current version of Agile. The server config is maxxed and the load is under 10% (on all params), Still, loading an Agile board takes even 7-12 seconds.

We have had various experiences with JIRA/GreenHopper working slow. Did you get your adminstrator to do a reindex? That can help. Sometimes I've ended up switching between chrome and firefox as one would work faster, aslo watch the number of tabs you have open or extensions you have added as with chroime & firefox they are both processes.
