For a customer I am upgrading a plugin from confluence 3.5 to Confluence 4.2. This plugin was reacting on the MailCreateEvent that was fired whenever a new mail arrived or mail was imported.

Somehow this does not seem to work anymore in Confluence 4.2. Furthermore, I see that the class com.atlassian.confluence.mail.Mail is deprecated since Confluence 4.2 but no alternative is given. The com.atlassian.confluence.event.events.content.mail.MailCreateEvent class is not deprecated but also using the deprecated Mail class.

What is the best way to implement a listener that reacts on the creation of mail objects in Confluence so that I can also get the content of that mail?

Got the same problem with a plugin we wrote for a customer. Is there a reported issue for this to push it with votes? I haven't found one yet. @Atlassian: Would be happy to hear a solution for this!
