Active Directory - Synchronisation failed "See Server Logs for detail".

I've added an active directory (read only) successfully, but i am getting syncronisation failing when i attempt.


As above, it says see server logs for details- i can't find anything in the obvious logs folder in my JIRA install directory.


How can i troubleshoot the above?

Try the logs found in <jira-home>/log/atlassian-jira.log. I was able to find information in this log that helped me to identify a duplicate group in AD.

I am unable to find the atlassian-jira.log.

Hi Prem,

You're looking in the installation directory, you need to check in the home directory. Usually it's /var/atlassian/application-data/jira/log.

You should fill in the username and password field.
