JMC: Feedback getting (occasionally) truncated as viewed on Mobile device (iOS)

Sohail Ahmed May 22, 2012

I just got replies coming from my JIRA OnDemand instance into the mobile client.

However, I noticed that the conversation bubbles sometimes, are missing text.

See my screenshots. In the first (feedback listing), the second issue clearly has the comment "Implemented". But when you look in the detailed issue view page, the last bubble just says "Implement". It's missing the "ed" part of the word.

So, it seems the visual padding is off for text handling in some cases.

Incidentally, how does one sign up for the JMC Early Access Program to be able to file bugs there?

Ok, I found the problem with the message bubble cropping text, and have pushed the change to the default branch of the JMC repo on BB.

Please pull and update to get the fix for this.

Hi Sohail,

I have just created http://connect.onjira.com/browse/CONNECT-179 to track this issue. The work-around for now is to always add a new-line character at the end of your comments in JIRA.

If you get a chance to look at the root cause (some pointers are on that JIRA), then I will gladly accept a pull request!

Also - anyone can sign-up for an account at http://connect.onjira.com. Instructions should be on the login page.

Cheers,

Nick
