When a particular user comments on an issue, I'd like to delete the comment they made. Is this possible?
It sounds weird, but here's the situation: The JIRA-Gitlab integration is nice because it puts all commit messages as linked issues.
However, it also adds a comment for EVERY SINGLE COMMIT. That spams our watchers via email and clogs up the comments field and makes it hard to find valuable comments.
The below image shows my setup, but on the final component I don't see an option to delete the comment.

Hello, the possibility to delete a comment with automation in Service desk is not existing.
Sadly it's also not possible with plugin *Automation for JIRA*
But even if you succeed to delete comment, the comment is created so event Issue Commented is launch and watcher will receive email anyway
Yep absolutely right. I've raised https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-165 to track adding a 'Delete comment' action in automation for JIRA now, but yes this would run after the comment was created in the first place, so JIRA would still send the notification.
