Change the color of the background and text in a table heading

Nancy Moir January 27, 2017

Hi, I would like to change:

  • the background color of table headings (default is grey)
  • the font color of the text in the table headings (default is black)

I want to change these in the css for the entire space.  I have tried overwriting various styles defined in aui.css, but none of them work.  I can change the font size of the table headings, but not the color.  Which css styles do I need to define to change these?  Thank you.

Hi Nancy,

This page should have the information you need.

Thanks, Rob.  Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work.  I tried pasting it in a space stylesheet, as well as a global stylesheet (both of which were initially empty) and there was no effect.  We are running Confluence 5.9.8.

Hi Nancy,

If you've not amended Confluence CSS before, these are good resources:

And the answer to this question, specifically about using Firebug or a Chrome alternative, might help: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/37542974

Thanks, Rob.  I've been able to use Firebug to obtain the css paths of the table headers, and restyle them.  The paths are rather long, but at least they work.  smile
