Errors in bitbucket translations

Pierre-Olivier Vares October 13, 2016

There are big mistakes in Bitbucket translations.

It seems this is done by an automatic translation, because it has no sense.

For example, In the Branch comparison page, "<author> committed <sha> <date>" is translated by "<author> engagé <sha> <date>". Which means absolutely nothing.

As for the term "commit", which doesn't exist and is taken as-is in french, french developers use an anglicism ,commiter. The sentence should be written "<author> a commité <sha> <date>".

We're using a bitbucket Server (not cloud) version.

What is the best way to get translations modified ?

Hi Pierre-Oliver,

Thanks for the report, this has been passed along to be fixed in the next release of Bitbucket Server. If you have any other problems you've noticed, do feel free to add them over at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BSERV-9238.

Cheers

Paul Thompson
