Can I use commit message commands to interact with JIRA OnDemand from a git repository?

Victor Butler March 7, 2012

We use git as your version source control system and JIRA can read commits from it, and is notified via post-commit hooks.

My question is, can we interact with JIRA using commit message commands from git?

We want to use commands like this:

PRJ-1 #time 10m #comment Started preliminary message enhancements. #start

Hi Victor,

The last couple of months we have been improving the integration between OnDemand and Bitbucket. Since we have annouced the Fisheye/Crucible/SVN EOL we have implemented the new and improved Bitbucket OnDemand integration.

From now it it is possible to integrate your Jira OnDemand with your on Bitbucket hosted git repo. With this integration we now support smart commits from git to manage your Jira issues.
