Joseph August 3, 2016

Hello. I'm new to Atlassian products. Does anyone know how to implement Bit Bucket into Visual Studio 2015?

There is no direct support for BitBucket in VisualStudio 2015 but you can use the built-in git client to access your Bitbucket repos.

You do most of your git tasks in the Team Explorer tab.

If you have enabled Two-Factor Authentication you'll need to make an application password in order to access your account from an application that doesn't support it.

Hi Rodney,

Thank you very much for your response, but can you elaborate a little more? I've spent more time on this than I should. Do you have any technical write-ups, videos, or anything that help me finally get my code checked in?

Hi

I am unable to connect to Bitbucket through visual studio using this extension

https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=MistyK.VisualStudioBitbucketExtension

Regards,

Asad

Issue is fixed. i was getting No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8888

exception. So i checked in my browser and there were proxy settings were handled by some extension installed in chrome. so i uninstalled the extension which was Hotspotshield extension and now it is connected. smile
