Common use scenario:
On a Kanban Board using control-F to find an issue via text find. Multiple swimlanes and colors for labels, priorities, assignees make it difficult to see highlighted text on page.
I'm looking for a search bar that works the same as a quick filter (it only displays issues that satisfy the filter). It wouldn't make sense to create dozens of quick filters ahead of time. Not sure if this a thing that currently exists.
Normal filters lack the strong visual element and are much more administrator-friendly than dev-friendly

doesn't exist yet, I have raise a ticket for this https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOUD-8721, please vote for this to raise the profile
There's nothing to do this in JIRA Software - I think you should raise this as an improvement for Atlassian, over at https://jira.atlassian.com . Personally, I'd say a board is too complex if you feel the need for such a search, but that's just me, and I think you've got a good idea that would work for other people.
