General advices how to fix troubles in JIRA

Hi everybody.

Because there are some general advices to fix troubles I decided to collect it all at one place.

1. Try to do integrity check: admin panel => system => integrity check
2. Try to do reindex: admin panel => system => advanced => reindexation

If it does not helps then you can get more information into atlassian-jira.log:

• for server version you can get it <jira-home>/Appliication Data/JIRA/log
• for cloud version you should make support request to get it

I dont think you can generalise this with a series of steps. It can vary.

From my experience, i would go to the logs first and see whats happening. I would then find the error message or the find out the behavior and go to google and see if anyone else has seen this issue.

I would then log a question on answers. If the issue is critical i would log a support ticket.

But then this is my approach, it can vary from person to person.
