Jira excel synchronisation

Can Jira be automatically synchronised with Excel (or Word)?

I don't want any manual intervention such as exporting/importing required.

I want to auto sync between Jama Contour and Rhapsody Gateway (aka reqtify, http://www.3ds.com/products/catia/portfolio/geensoft/geensoft-product-lines/reqtify/).

I know Contour can sync with Jira and I need to sync textual requirements with Excel (or Word) to integrate nicely with Rhapsody Gateway (aka reqtify).

Use the Excel Automation plugin to periodically export your JIRA issues to custom Excel spreadsheets.

Tips:

• You can get the output expected by the other tool (Jama, Rhapsody Gateway, anything) by defining export templates.
• If you rather prefer triggering an export by a JIRA event (not periodically), that is also possible.

Some options could be to make a cron job to regularly run wget on the Excel url of the filter of your choice (passing the username and password).

Otherwise using the SOAP or REST API create a service which generates creates the Excel file as per the format you need.
