Facing api related issues while upgrading customised user picker plug-in from jira 3.13.5 to jira 4.2.4

I am working on the upgradation of the user picker plug-in from jira 3.13.5 to jira 4.2.4. It was working fine with the older version and after doing some code changes some of the functionalities were also fine in 4.2.4, but facing issues with the searcher functionality. After going through the docs i came to know that api for searchers has been changed a lot compared to older versions. In customisation code which i am working on has some classes like AbstractIssueSearcher which are not supported for latest version and these class functionality which are implemented need to be replaced with latest api classes. Is there any kind of reference which can be compared for older and latest version apis and the document related to custom field searcher implementation. Followed the document which is available for configuring the custom field searcher and done that. But facing problems while working with the older version classes which need to be replaced with new version api classes.
