I would like a pie chart grouped by Parent Tasks for sub tasks

Robin Dewson October 12, 2015

Hi

I believe I have a filter that returns all my subtasks defined as :-

project = MyProject AND fixVersion = "20151101 Major Release" AND issuetype = Sub-task

What I now need is a pie chart that groups the parent ids (I assume External issue id) so that I can see in the pie chart how many sub tasks are with the parent task. I want to see which parent task has the most sub tasks in essence but I want to see all parent tasks that are in the fixVersion.

I have looked at the pie chart but External Issue Id isn't listed, and looked at other gadgets.

Any help appreciated

The PIE chart gadget won't work on what you want. It will only diplay the data for a certain JQL then it creates the slices of pie according to a certain field on those issues. Sub-Tasks are not fields, they are associations to the Parent Ticket and may or may not have a complete set of custom fields. So I guess your option here is to create your pie chart externally (e.g. MSExcel) and just export the data out from JIRA.
