I'm looking forward to upgrading to JIRA 7 but we depend on several add-ons and I'm not sure if they will break or be removed in the process?  I guess the answer is to check each add-on and see if they support 7.x but here are a few add-ons we depend on:

  • JIRA Connect Enterprise iOS app
  • JEditor
  • Email this Issue

I guess the main one of concern is our iOS app integration but does anyone know if add-ons are backwards compatible, i.e. not broken by JIRA 7 presumed API changes?

It would be nice to see a list somewhere of add-ons supported by JIRA 7 so we can watch them bubble up to 7.x support.

Hi Neal,

in the administration-view for add-ons (<jira>/plugins/servlet/upm/check?source=manage) you can run a compatibility-check and get a list of plugins that can make problems.

cheers, michael

Thank you - guess that answers that - all are NOT compatible. The iOS app I'd have to check with the vendor as that's not an add-on but an API external caller. Guess we'll just wait.
