How to prevent Import-Package from containing versions?

Richard Simko [RefinedWiki] October 6, 2015

We're trying to prepare for Confluence 5.10 however I've run in to a few problems with our dependencies. It seems that when I build one of our plugins the SDK automatically adds Import-Package to the manifest for the relevant dependencies. This is expected, however according to the documentation "By default, the auto-generated OSGi Import-Package directive does not specify a version for the package".

This is true for all our plugins except one and I've been bashing my head trying to figure out if there's a difference between the POM files however I can't find anything relevant to this. Does anyone have an idea where I can start looking for something that affects this output in the manifest?

This turned out to be related to our preparations for Confluence 5.9

A temporary workaround for us was to reduce our amps.version back down to 5.0.9 as well as removing the new servlet dependency mentioned in the preparation guide.

However this is still just a temporary workaround and needs to be fixed by Atlassian before the release of 5.9.
