How do I Fast-track transition an issue so that after 72 hours or better yet 3 working days it auto transitions to the next status?

How do I fast-track transition an issue if all linked issues have the status "done"?

There are many ways you can do this.

One way is to use JIRA Automation plugin. Create a "trigger" which uses a JQL query to find issues that have been in a state for so many days (3). Then use an "action" to transition them to the "next" status.

So I am using a classic project and therefore do not see the triggers option. Do I have to use script runner? I am not familiar with that, and want the email to be sent to the input of a user picker custom field. Any ideas?
