I am using buttons (hyperlink) from Confluence to create JIRA issues. When I click the button all the required fields are listed up top in a red box above the fields. Basically listing all the required fields. Then below where you fill out the form it also says next to the field that it is required. Is there a way to hide or remove that red box from appearing? It is quite ugly.

Is this a Confluence Macro to create issues or is this the JIRA Issue Collector? You can update the JIRA Issue Collector vm files in the server (unpacking the issue collector plugin, update it and then pack it again).

I have not tried it with the Confluence macro, but I did it with the JIRA issue collector. Try finding the jar that contains the vm files and edit it.

I was hoping there was an easy way to hide it vs development. I guess not?

Yep, I am afraid so. It's there by design. If you want, you can open up a feature request to have it as optional.

anyone have any ideas here? Would be really nice to hide that red list of required fields.
