[Advanced?] Want to use variables in a JIRA Macro

Adam White June 17, 2014

I am wondering if this is possible...

We have many pages that have a table of JIRA macros that all are based on the same JIRA Issue Key, all we basically do across all of the pages in our spaceis change the Issue Key in this table.

It looks like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dkrpqfi15o6jix5/statusgraph.png

I want to be able to just have one place in the page where I can specify the Issue ID and change all of the macros in the table. Is this possible at all?

I have the same question on this? Does anyone know if this is possible. We create a confluence page to manage a specific release. So we do lots of JIRA Macro queries on fixVersion. Some about remaining items, some about items needing validation, etc....I would like to be able to have a single entry at the top of the page (maybe a page property), that is used to determine the fixVersion to use in all the queries.

Unfortunately it does not really answer my question. Each of the macros in the chart I posted have a different query, but they all share the same issue ID. Not quite sure how your blog post helps as all it does is list the basic JIRA/Confluence integration I'm already aware of.

Hi Adam,

It's possible to use only one JIRA macro at confluence page, changing only the JIRA filter on it, and it'll display the all issues resultant of this filter.

To better help you I'm sharing this page on Altassian Blog:

Could you please let me know if it is what you're looking for?
