How do you monitor usage of Confluence OnDemand pages? (using Google Analytics)

Darayush Mistry June 9, 2014

How can we monitor usage of Confluence OnDemand pages and its content (via links/attachments). Tried using Google Analytics but it does not seem to work with the OnDemand product. How can we accomplish this or are there other products or recommendations out there for OnDemand pages.

Any suggestions from others using the OnDemand product? Seems like a standard page use requirement.

Thanks

Darayush

Hello Darayush, not sure if you have been through this information, the OnDemand has a bundled statistics pane for popular content, active content and active contributors.

edit: note that the plugins needs to be turned on in order to function, and it may impact performance for large instances.

Guilherme, thanks for the clarification. We've gone ahead and requested that it be enabled. Looks like the Usage Stats link/info does not show up high enough on Google or in the Q&A area when we started searching for Confluence OnDemand monitoring.

Hi Darayush,

We've created an add-on that provides some great usage statistics in Confluence Cloud. It includes an overview of activity but also the details like who has viewed a particular page.

You can find more information here: Analytics for Confluence Cloud

It's a few years later, but I hope it helps you and the next person.
