Find the most used issue types in a project

Hi,

Does anyone have a filter of knowing the most used issue types in a project?

Reason I ask is we have a "Default" issue type that has 57 types of issues that a lot of projects use. However, I am sure not every type of issue is being used said project.

I know I can create a filter and it by issue types, but it won't show me the issue types that are NOT being used in a project.

Right now, I have a python script that uses JIRA's REST API's to figure this out but I was wondering if there was an easier I over looked...

I used the REST points to search for all the projects (to get the project key) then used the project keys to search for all issues in said project and looked at the issuetype field.
