HI All,

'I have a simple question related to my JIRA instance. We have many projects created in our JIRA instance as per our users request and so the queue is very long and page takes long time to load. Is there a way i can hide few projects that are not in use any more however i dont want to losse the date in those projects.

You can define permission schemes that only allow selected people to see the projects - if you apply schemes like these to the projects you want to hide, then only the selected people will get them on the lists.

Have a look at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+Project+Permissionsand concentrate on the "Browse" permission.

(I'd also think about pushing back on users asking for new projects - I've worked at places where my first job was housekeeping, and my first question was "why are a third of your projects empty?", answer "because we just create projects without questioning it")
