Hello everyone. I have an instane with attchments more than 30Gb. And according to this https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Upgrading+ConfluenceI need to create additional 2 backup more than 30Gb.

I tried to set confluence home directory at the 5.4.4 and even 3.5.13 to confluence home for version 2.10.4. But server was runnig with 404 error(3.5.13) and hibernate exception (5.4.4).

Hello, Vitaliy!

In order to upgrade your instance from 2.10.3, you will need to do incremental upgrades. You will want to do the following steps, (first on a test instance to be sure everything goes smoothly.)

  1. Upgrade manually from 2.10.3 to 3.5.17.
  2. Upgrade normally from 3.5.17 to 5.0.3.
  3. Upgrade normally from 5.0.3 to 5.4.4.

Once you confirm everything works smoothly on the test instance, you can proceed with the production instance. You can find the archives for previous versions of Confluence from our website.

If you continue to have issues with the upgrade after following those steps, please open a ticket with our Support Team.
