How to export sidebar contents using HTML Export built in capability?

Deleted user April 22, 2014

Hello,

We are evaluating Confluence for procution of customer-facing HTML documentation. In the sidebar within Confluence, we use the Table of Contents "toc" macro, and it works fine. However, when we use the built in HTML Export functionality, it does not output the sidebar as a "left frame" within the HTML output.

Does anyone know of a way to include the sidebar as part of the HTML export? Or, alternatively, is there a way to specify an "HTML template" when exporting, such that it defines the contents of what the HTML file would look like?

We are running Confluence version 5.3.4.

Thanks in advance!

From Atlassian Support:

Currently, since the sidebar is not a content included inside the page to be exported, Confluence doesn't cover the export for this. However, I believe that you would be interested to take a look at this improvement request. This seems to be pointing exactly what you're looking for and I currently update the case with this request.
