How do I build a roadmap using Jira agile

We are using Jira Agile to track features and bugs. I would like to build a roadmap but I am not sure how to visualize the work across time.

Couple ideas:

  1. You can use JIRA Roadmap gadget
  2. You can create a board with JQL query: openSprints() and futureSprints()
  3. You can create swimlanes with the queries above in multiple boards
