Add JIRA Agile Sprint metadata using a plugin

Hi,

I am looking for a way to add some more metadata to a sprint object in JIRA Agile.

What I am looking for is creating a plugin adding a field in which I can add an estimated velocity for each created sprint. The use-case for this is if you created a number of future sprints for planning these sprints may differ in story point capacity.

E.g. new people can be on-boarded, vacations, re-structuring of teams etc may affect the capacity of the teams and this would be great to be able to visualize when creating sprints.

Is it possible to add such a field (at the same level as the sprint start and end date for example)

I have been searching the documentation but not found any fruitful tips/tricks yet.

Any ideas are highly appreciated!

Hello there,

I'd be interested in a similar feature. We'd like to add the information whether a sprint was accepted or denied by the product owner to each sprint. Thus saving some configurable meta data to each sprint would be wonderful.
