Why can't OnDemand customers modify layouts

I just started using Confluence OnDemand because I came from an environment that had a local install and it never got updated. I convinced my new company how great Confluence is, but now I am running into so many issues where I cannot do in OnDemand what I could do in a local install.

- Editing Layouts

- Removing Child Pages link at the bottom of pages

I was under the impression that OnDemand was the same as the local hosting.

Sad but true :).

However this doc says that you can ask the tech support for some of the restricted features, so you may try....
