Why doesn't confluence provide a "page last viewed date" feature?

Is there a development issue to provide this feature?

You can get that information depending upon your version. If you are on a later version (I don't remembe which version it was implemented in v5.??) there is a sql table that tracks page hits. It is AO_92296B_AORECENTLY_VIEWED. I think this table might be purged on a rolling basis, so you could create a copy of the table and have an sql task that daily copies the last days worth of page hits to the copy table or something like that.

Hey Lantiq,

Confluence have the last modified date as you can see in here, I search for a feature request for sI did not found one.

So my suggestion is that you raise a feature request at here and our product managment team will study the possibility of developing.

I also found a few third party plugins that show the last viewed date:

http://midori.hu/products/confluence-archiving-plugin/documentation/view-tracking

http://www.bitvoodoo.ch/plugins/confluence-viewtracker-plugin.html

Hope it helps.

Thanks and Regards,
