Can I create a free production license to let others sample my plugin?

I'd like to give a couple of people/companies a free license for a non-free (purchase through Atlassian) plugin that I've developed. Is there a way I can create licenses like this?

I found a page about Promotions for paid-via-Atlassian Add-ons.

You can use the instructions therein to create a single-use, 100%-off promotion link that can be used to give someone a free license.

Not sure if this will help, but I've searched a lot how to do that and didn't managed to find a solution. I think that this might not be possible as it will allow users to get around the marketplace and sell add-ons without giving Atlassian its 10% or 20% share from the deal while still using it's licensing infrastructure.

An option is to release a "private" build through the marketplace which will have licensing disabled and provide a link to the companies that you want, so only they'll be able to install the plugin but this means that if this link/build "leaks", also other people will be able to use the addon without paying for a license.
