Is it possible to use Confluence as a graphics library? If it is, what would you recommend?

Teresa Diaz April 2, 2014

Hi

We would like to use centralize all of the graphics and icons used in the software and documentation in one dedicate place. Can Confluence do that? The library would describe the attributes of the graphics, how and when to use them, and allow downloading.

I have taken a look at Space attachments and a knowledge but I am not convinced that these are the optimal solution.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Best regards, Teresa

Well, you can do almost anything you like with Confluence. Generally it is very productive for most things. Specific to this question, the question may be more about how easy it would be to do this. Images is an example of how we manage images on our site. If you want to add detail for each image, then that requires more work or a different approach. For instance, you could add a column with a link to a detail page, or include a detail page or excerpt. More info is available from Managing Images on your Confluence Site
