Hi guys,
I was just editing my Jira system so that a group I created had system admin priviliges and so that I could remove the 'Administrators' group from system admin.
I added the group, ensuring there were members in the group, but the moment I chose to delete the jira-administrators group I lost all access to system admins priviliges.
So to try to fix this so it least someone had sys admin permissions I logged into the postgres db to check out who had it, according to psql the administrators group had permissions.
But I know they don't. So does anyone know how either to create a brand new sysadmin from which point I can fix it myself or fix the issues with this system.
Thanks
Start at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Retrieving+the+JIRA+Administrator- there's a similar doc for Confluence, but I tend to start with Jira as a lot of people hook up their Conflluence to use their Jira user database.
We have the same problem - our 'Administrators' group was removed and we no longer have an account with Admin privildedges. Can anyone advise a solution to this? (We have this problem in both JIRA and Confluence.) Thanks!
