On the JIRA issues macro the only thing that displays is an error box that says

Error on line 72: The element type "link" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</link>".<br/> java.class.io.IOException

Conflunce had that version in by default when we upgraded but I tried installing the plug-in separately to see if that fixed it but the same issue remained.

Did you have this issue with existing macros, or just new ones? IO exceptions with the JIRA Issues Macro are normally from a bad source of some kind. If you create a new macro and aren't using the XML view for the JIRA search filter you're trying to link to, Confluence will not be able to interpret the data correctly since it's not being presented in the proper XML format.

I was not using the XML view to generate the table. Thank you

I am getting the same error message as Jay.Barra when I try to add a Jira Issues macro to my Confluence page but this answer doesn't really help with solving this problem as I don't know what an "XML view" is.

Hi Mark! Our Jira Issues Macro documentation outlines the process of getting the XML view of any JIRA filter/search that you perform.

Ellery, did you look over the Jira Issue Macro documentation on how to obtain the XML view URL? Using the wrong link in the macro causes this error (for example, creating a filter and copying the URL from your browser).
