  • I have add 2 user defined fields (Estimated hours, Actual hours) in sub tasks, when i enter time in these fields the Time tracking is not getting updated with hours. How can is see these hours burned in the sub tasks

I have add 2 user defined fields (Estimated hours, Actual hours) in sub tasks, when i enter time in these fields the Time tracking is not getting updated with hours. How can is see these hours burned in the sub tasks

Hi Swapna,

Those are just custom fields they will not behave like System Time Tracking field.

Unfortunately there is no option in JIRA to add custom Time Tracking field. There is feature request for that with atlassian you can vote on this ticket - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-12920

Also what you are looking for might be available through plugin and one such Plugin for Time Tracking is Tempo - http://www.tempoplugin.com/products/tempo-timesheets/

Time Tracking section only works with the System Fields of JIRA. If you really want a custom field that computes your 2 custom fields, try a scripted field.
