Make sure Resolution of the issue is set to Fixed or just resolution is set.
If your workflow doesn't resolution field, then you add it on close screen. So that when you closed the issue resolution is not empty.

You can just create your own gadget then configure it to use a JQL of "Project = ABC and Assignee = folkert and Status != Closed)
