"Variable tasks for Bamboo" plugin support bamboo versions

I can see this plugin supports "Bamboo Server 5.7.0 - 5.7.2"

Knowing it's 'unsupported' product, but anybody has positive/negative experience with it with more newer versions of the bamboo servers?  e.g. 5.9x

I'm currently using this on version 5.9.4 build 5919, and everything seems to be working well, but I'd like to find a supported solution for the use cases we have.
