How can i apply a filter to Sprint burndown chart in JIRA ?

Vinay Mangeshkar September 1, 2015

Hi,

The default sprint burndown chart shows the hours logged by QA & DEV . Would like to get a burndown specifically for DEV by applying a filter ?

How can i do that ? Do i need to use context ?

I've found a rather convoluted way to filter.

  1. build a filter you need. In my case I wanted to view burndowns for each project component.
  2. build an agile board based on the filter.
  3. on the Dashboard (for my overall project) I can then add multiple burndown charts based on the agile board defined. Just have to make sure that's all the agile board is used for and doesn't do any project-based stuff like sprint create/complete. A higher-level project board should be used for that.

It's a bit awkward, but it works.

Same Issue here. We have work logs of non-sprint-members as we log work all over the company. How can one exclude non-sprint-members from a burn down?

The Sprint Burndown gadget does not have that configuration. It will compute whatever Story Points you have in an active Sprint. Maybe you just need to improve your Story Points tracking since estimating a Story includes the testing, not just development.
